1. Whose app this is
BharaKhata is a rent-management app for landlords, tenants, and caretakers in Bangladesh, published on Google Play by GrowthStack BD. Account deletion described here applies to the BharaKhata mobile app.
2. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open BharaKhata and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Read the warning, then confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately and queued for deletion.
3. Or request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email [email protected] from the registered mobile number on your account, and put “Delete my account” in the subject line. We verify ownership of the number, then delete the account. Allow up to 30 days.
4. What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, phone number, profile photo).
- Identity-verification (NID/KYC) data and images linked to you.
- Your messages and any photos, videos, or files you uploaded in chat.
- Payment-proof images and notification preferences.
- Your login credentials, PIN, and device push tokens.
5. What we keep, and for how long
To meet Bangladesh tax and accounting law, we retain a minimal record of financial transactions (invoice and payment amounts, dates) for up to 7 years, with your personal identifiers removed or anonymised. Where your data also belongs to another party’s records — for example, an invoice that a landlord must keep, or a tenant’s rent ledger — that shared record is retained on the other party’s account but is no longer linked to your deleted profile. Backups containing residual data are purged on a rolling cycle within 30 days.
6. Timeline
Personal data is removed within 30 days of a verified request. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
